Marina Cognée

Marina joined Red Umbrella Fund as a temporary Programme Associate in March 2023. She is a Brussels-based project and programme manager with more than 10 years of professional experience at local, national, European, and international levels.

She previously worked as project and programme manager for the European AIDS Treatment Group (EATG), and the European Parliamentary Forum on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (EPF).

She worked for 2 years as a sex worker in Brussels. She has also been involved in many feminist and queer initiatives or collectives in France and Belgium.

Marina has an academic background in International Relations and Gender studies. She speaks French and English fluently and has an advanced level of Spanish.
