Anna joined Red Umbrella Fund as a Programme Associate in November 2024.
Anna is a trans activist from Cali, Colombia. Her involvement in grassroots LBTQI, transfeminist and sex worker movements as well as Afrocolombian struggles is fueled by her belief in social justice and the need for an intersectional perspective on trans issues.
For the past few years she has also worked as a freelance translator for organizations such NSWP (Global Network of Sex Work Projects) and GNP+ (Global Network of People Living with HIV) as well as serving a term as a member of the Grant Making Panel for the ITF (International Trans Fund).
As a trans woman of color, with lived experiences at the crossroads of multiple axes of oppressions, she embodies in her flesh the diverse realities and identities that trans people navigate, and their multiple platforms for resistance.
She speaks English and Spanish fluently.
