The Asia Pacific Network of Queer Sex Workers (APNQSW), established in 2022, responds to the lack of services and support specifically tailored for queer sex workers-led groups in the Asia-Pacific region. Their mission is to create a society where sex work is recognized as legitimate, and the human rights of all LGBTQI+ sex workers are protected. APNQSW collaborates with queer sex worker-led groups, providing support, resources, and advocacy tailored to their needs. They aim to decriminalize sex work, fight discrimination, and ensure the autonomy and agency of sex workers, especially from the queer community. With the support of Red Umbrella Fund, APNQSW plans to allocate funds to office rental, staff salaries, network development, capacity-building workshops, and a Management Committee member meeting to enhance organizational capacity and advocacy efforts for queer sex workers in the region.
