All Women Advocacy (AWA) is a sex worker-led grassroots organisation in Zimbabwe, striving for the rights and decriminalization of sex work. Founded in 2019 by current and former sex workers, AWA addresses the challenges faced by sex workers in the country, aiming to combat stigma, and discrimination, and provide access to crucial information. Recognizing the need for peer-led efforts, AWA employs a multi-faceted approach, involving advocacy, research, partnerships, service referrals, and leadership development. With their grant from Red Umbrella Fund, AWA plans to allocate funds strategically for core program support, organizational capacity strengthening, movement building, advocacy, sustainability initiatives, and governance improvement. The grant aims to empower sex workers, enhance their access to resources, challenge societal norms, and contribute to the broader movement for sex workers’ rights in Zimbabwe.
